Tour Description

In this tour Wild Indian Safari covers all major tiger reserves in central India. You tour starts from Katni/Jabalpur depending upon your choice of arrival. Covering Bandhavgarh, Kanha and Pench you can be sure of being mesmerized by the mere glimpse of a tiger which sends an alarm to the whole jungle that the king is on the move.

This tour offers a great opportunity for travelers to witness royal Bengal tigers in the wild. Bandhavgarh is known for its highest density of tigers in the world. Once ruled by tigers like Charger and B2, Bandhavgarh is a pack surprises. Kanha, home to the highest number tigers is known for its landscapes and sal forest. Sal trees dating back to hundreds of years can be seen in abundance. Once home to Mowgli, Pench was named after the river that flows through the beautiful forest. Apart from tigers, one can find leopards, sloth-bears, jackal, fox, dholes, spotted deer, sambar deer, nilgai and gaurs to name a few.

Day 1: ARRIVAL - KATNI - BANDHAVGARH

Our tour starts from reaching Katni railway station which is a 90 kms/ 02:30hrs journey to Bandhavgarh National Park. Katni Junction is well connected to all major cities in India. On reaching Bandhavgarh, you can relax at the resort. If arrival is early, guests can opt for evening jungle safari. Overnight stay at resort in Bandhavgarh.

Day 2: IN BANDHAVGARH

Guests can do morning & evening jungle safari in Bandhavgarh. The hilly and rocky terrains give a great chance capture photographs of a tiger sitting on rock or near their den etc. The beautiful meadows and jungle tracks offer a great chances to follow tiger movements and probability to witness the king are very high. In the evening guests can relax at the resort and exchange their experience and views while sitting around bon-fire. Overnight stay at the resort.

Day 3: BANDHAVGARH - KANHA

Attend morning safari in Bandhavgarh. Morning safari offers a great opportunity for tiger photography. Apart from wildlife you can also visit temples, statues, caves, old rocks. After morning safari drive, guests can have lunch and later drive to Kanha National Park which is 250 kms/6 hours drive from Bandhavgarh. Reach Kanha by late evening and relax at the resort. Overnight stay at the resort in Kanha National Park.

Day 4: IN KANHA

Do morning & evening safari drives in Kanha National Park. Kanha is a more photogenic jungle than Bandhavgarh. The grasslands and meadows are larger than those in Bandhavgarh. Large herds of spotted deer, sambar deer and gaurs can be easily spotted grazing in meadows. The highlight of Kanha is the Hard ground Barasingha or Swamp Deer which is only found in Kanha. The hard working staff of Kanha National Park has revived the population of Barasingh which was on the verge of extinction a few years ago.

Day 5: IN KANHA

Today will be our last day in Kanha. Do morning & evening safari. Guests can visit the local market and do shopping for local handicrafts made by the tribes of Kanha. Overnight stay at resort in Kanha National Park.

Day 6: KANHA - PENCH

After breakfast, drive to Pench National Park (190kms/04:00hrs). Go for evening safari post lunch. Pench national park is located on Satpura hills. Its name is derived from Pench river which is life line of this forest. Overnight at resort in Pench national park.

Day 7: IN PENCH

Do morning & evening tiger safari in the jungle famous for Rudyard Kipling's classic "The Jungle Book which is based on this forest. Here you can realive the scenes of Jungle Book and its hero Mowgli. Pench national park has a high density of herbivores animals like Sambar, Spotted Deer, Blue Bull, Wild Boar, Indian Gaur etc. Pench is a rocky forest, with small meadows and more rock terrains.Areas close to the Pench river open and are hunting grounds for the big cats. Pench is amazing from a photographers point of view. It offers good visibility in the open areas which makes it a hotspot for photographers.

Day 8: DEPARTURE JABALPUR RAILWAY STATION

Guests will depart for Jabalpur in the morning. As per time in hand, they can opt to visit famous marble rocks in Bhedaghat, just 25kms from Jabalpur city. It is a world famous site where you can do boating on Narmada river, passes through marble rocks. Later drop to Jabalpur railway station/airport.
